Yachats City Description
|
Yachats is a unique little town between Florence and Waldport. There are some nice places to eat and rest in Yachats during both summer and winter months. This city is know for it terrific stormy winter weather. Visit this city and watch the storms pound into the rocky ledges of Yachats Oceanside.
There are two lighthouses very close to this area; Heceta Head's lighthouse offers an amazing view of the central Oregon coast, the other is privately owned and built by a lighthouse enthusiast. Make sure to bring a camera and some hiking boots when you visit Heceta Head. You will have to walk about a half mile up to the lighthouse. After you hike at Heceta Head make sure to visit the sea lion caves just ten minutes south.
Yachats is certainly recommended by NWcoast.com for its charm and proximity to some of Oregon's most beautiful coastline.
